Be careful before you pay

Maldivian law caps workers from any one country at 100,000 and Bangladesh's quota is full. Since 2024 new visas have been limited to government projects and a few employers under strict conditions. Bangladeshi tourists suspected of coming to work have been turned back at the airport. Do not pay before checking the permit on Xpat.
