Ways to go for less

  1. 1First check if the government agency BOESL sends workers there—it costs far less.
  2. 2Deal only with a licensed recruiting agency. Skip the middleman.
  3. 3Do your passport, police clearance and registration yourself—official fees are low.
  4. 4Train at a government TTC. It's cheap and the certificate is accepted.
  5. 5If you need a loan, ask Probashi Kallyan Bank about its migration loan.
  6. 6Keep a receipt and written contract for every payment.

Don't take loans from brokers

  • Broker and moneylender loans have very high interest. People spend years abroad just paying them off.
  • Never hand over your passport or land papers as loan security.
  • Before selling land or cattle, do the sum above—see if you earn it back in 2 years.
  • If you must borrow, borrow from a bank, in writing.
